Overview and metadata sections

This is a collection of nursing lecture notes taken by Mary Anne M'Cready at the Philadelphia School for Nurses. The School was formed in c. 1894 and was a lecture course of 10 weeks, and for a $5 fee a student could receive a diploma. It operated similar to a correspondence school in that there was very little active training or hands on experience during the lectures by the students.

Gift of Anne M. Shield.
