Summary:

Manuscript is used for public or private recitation or prayer and worship (pūjā), venerating and praising a thousand names associated with the Hindu deity Śiva. Manuscript is part of a larger work known as the Śivarahasya. Presented as a discourse between Hara (Śiva) and his son Kumāra (known also as Kārttikeya). Originally contained two paintings, which have been cut out from the front (f. 1) and back (f. 13) folios.

Mistakes blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; some significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red; vertical margins marked with single broad red line and two thin black lines. Borders of two miniature paintings that have been cut out (f. 1, 13) remain.
