Title from closing rubric (f. 66r).
Heading on f. 1r: Comincia il libro primo dell'Etica da Aristotile nel quale tratta della felicitade.
Incipit: Ogne arte et ogne doctrina et ogne operatione et ogne electione ... (f. 1r).
Collation: Parchment, 71; 1, [i]², 1⁸( -1), 2-8⁸, 9⁶( -1); [ii, 1-69]; modern foliation, upper right recto. The first leaf is the front endleaf and is conjugate with the front pastedown. The back pastedown is numbered f. 70. Link to collation model at end of record.
Layout: Written in 20 long lines; ruled in lead; prickings visible.
Script: Written in a large gotica cancelleresca script in a single hand, except for the first leaf, which was lost or mutilated at an early date and was replaced about 1450 by another leaf written in a rather rough hand (f. 1).
Decoration: 7-line decorated initial in red and blue (f. 1r); rubricated headings; red and blue used for highlights, initials.
Binding: Blind-stamped dark brown morocco, probably Florentine, ca. 1450 (perhaps contemporary with the replaced f. 1); gilt rondels and clasps missing.
Origin: Written in Italy, before the Golden Bull of 1356; after 1356 the electorships were held by different lay princes than those listed here (f. 66r; Witten).
