Manual that is a collection of rites and their associated rules and laws (dharma), especially those rites for overcoming mistakes and negative actions performed in daily life as well as during rituals, called prāyaścitta. Rites are especially focused on killing and include those performed for having killed or murdered a Brahman, a Kṣatriya, a cow, a woman, as well as a woman who has had an abortion, and others.
