Summary:
Manuscript is used for contemplation and recitation and is a late Vedic work, a philosophical treatise also containing numerous mantras meant to be recited during meditation, as well as early mythology introducing some early ideas about the makeup and composition of the universe (such notions about the cycle of life and death). The work reinterprets the symbolic value of Hindu rites and rituals and points to an underlying continuum between the individual self (ātman) and the universe (brahman).
