Tables for calculations related to timber for shipbuilding; lists of names and numbers of pieces for constructing a ship; and rations of staples such as biscuits, wine, lard, beef, vegetables, oil, vinegar, cheese, sardines, bread, and butter for ship voyages of various lengths.

Script: Written in cursive script.
Decoration: Fleur-de-lis cross outlined with the words of the Latin hymn Vexilla regis in tiny script (f. 66r); rectangular array, titled Sic vita fugit dum staré videtur, of the letters in the French sundial motto, Nos jours passent comme l'ombre, arranged with the first N at the center and the last E at the 4 corners so that any path using only 2 directions from the center to a corner spells out the phrase (f. 82v).
Binding: Original (18th-century) calf, simple gilt spine with title Gran. Tari.
Origin: Written in Béligon (f. 66r), near Rochefort (location of a shipyard established by Louis XIV on the west coast of France), in 1735 (f. 66r, 67r).
