Seventeenth-century astronomer and commentator living in Maharashtra near the Godāvarī River in the village of Golo.
Summary:
Manuscript used as a guide for proper procedures of the nine-nights festival beginning at the new moon in the month of Aśvin (September/October). Includes a discussion of related rites and recitations, including the worship (pūjā) of the goddess Dūrgā and other deities, to be performed at the proper times of day in alignment with astrological bodies.
