Summary:
The small single-folio manuscript had been folded into a pocket-sized text, which could be easily transported on one's person. Manuscript describes funeral rites to be performed in the city of Vārāṇasī at the Kapiladhārā pilgrimage site (tīrtha) sacred to the Hindu deity Śiva, one of the cities oldest sacred spots, mentioned as early as the Mahābhārata.
