Summary:

Text to be used in public or private veneration and prayer or reading, praising and extolling the virtues of the month of Māgha (January-February) and is especially sacred to the Hindu deity Viṣṇu; contains several Hindu legends about expiating sins (pāpa) during this particular month. Presented as a conversation between the Hindu deity Brahmā and the legendary sage Nārada.
