Summary:
Text dedicated to the worship of various Hindu deities, including Ganeśa and several Vedic gods, beginning on the 4th day in the month of Āśvin (September-October). Observances (vrata) are to be performed by a Brahman priest along with his wife. Includes ritual offerings given to guests in one's home, flowers cupped in both hands; offerings of sweetmeats (such as modaka), meritorious gifts, mantras, and other rites associated with pūja. Presented as a discussion between the deity Kṛṣṇa and the legendary king Yudhiṣṭhira.
