Two separate ritual texts contained in one manuscript, both dedicated to evoking protective armor (kavaca) and weapons symbolically through the recitation and deployment of mantras dedicated to specific manifestations of the Hindu deity Viṣṇu. The first text is dedicated to the horse-headed avatāra of Viṣṇu Hāyagrīva and the second text is dedicated to the half man, half lion form of Viṣṇu, Narasiṃha (or Nṛsiṃha). Text presented as a discourse between the deity Brahmā and Sāvītrī (Brahmāsāvītrīsaṃvāda).
