Text in praise of names of the Hindu deity Śiva referred to as Vedasāra (essence of the Vedas) employing mantras to be used in public or private veneration and prayer. Derived from the final section (uttarabhaga) of the Bilvakeśvaramahātmya of the Padmapurāṇa. Presented as a dialogue between the deity Kṛṣṇa and the legendary figures Mārkaṇḍeya and Vyāsa.
