In this third section (kāṇḍa) of the Adhyātmarāmāyaṇa, Rāma visits various ashrams in the forest and Sītā is abducted by the demon Rāvaṇa; however, Sītā is hidden from the demon who kidnaps an illusory Sītā in her place.
