Script: Written in nastaʻlīq by multiple hands in black ink; pointed.
Decoration: Ink drawings in the Dhakhīrat Iskandar Dhū al-Qarnayn of an animal, perhaps a jackal (f. 149v), 2 worms with pincers (f. 150v), hybrids of a snake with an animal's head and a person with a snake's tail (f. 151r), a scorpion (f. 151v), a crane (f. 152v), a youth with one hand on his head (f. 153r), and a rougher, sexual drawing of a man and a woman (f. 154v); tables in red and black (f. 41r-107r); significant words or phrases and headings in red throughout.
Binding: Black leather (Type III) with painted gilt borders, stamped with a central mandorla and four pendants on the vertical axis, the middle two pendants bear the name Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad Bāqir; red leather doublure with gold painted central floral cross and frame.
Origin: Some works dated 1081 A.H. (1670 CE), mention they were copied in the madrasah of ʻAlī Jāh Maḥmūd Beg Nāẓir (f. 136v, 157r, 168v), probably in Iṣfahān (f. 136v) in Persia, now Iran.
