Collation: Parchment, 38; 1³⁸; [1], 2-19, [20-38]; contemporary foliation in ink, modern foliation in pencil, lower left verso.
Layout: Written in 35 long lines; ruled in drypoint; double vertical and upper horizontal bounding lines in ink.
Script: Written in a rounded Gothic script.
Decoration: Painted miniature of the Annunciation, coat of arms, and full border (f. 1v); painted miniature in lower margin of Saint James vanquishing the Moors and full border with 3 cameos, 2 of which are of Saint Michael and Saint George (f. 2r); decoration of first opening (f. 1v-2r) is probably later than the manuscript, perhaps the first half of the 17th century. 17 illuminated initials, 5-line to 7-line, in shaded blue on yellow and red grounds with red and white tracery; calligraphic flourishes in upper margins; paragraph marks in left margins. Some illuminations worn or flaking.
Binding: Outer bifolium as wrapper (f. 1r and 38v blank), with an inscription in ink on the upper cover, Derechos escrivano mrs[?] registro xii seda s[ello?] y plomo (referring to a lead seal, not present).
