Rosny's work includes an overview of Mayan grammar (p. 13-34), selected texts with translations (p. 35-46), and a Maya-French vocabulary (p. 47-70), followed by book advertisements (Bulletin de Publicité orientale et américaine; 16 p.) and a statement about the Société américaine de France (8 p.). On one of the tipped-in leaves (front free endpaper), Berendt provides an overview of his evaluation of the first 5 columns of Rosny's vocabulary (Die 5 ersten Spalten v. Rosnys "Vocabulaire M.-Fr."), categorizing those 133 entries under headings such as: correct word, correct meaning; or: correct word, incorrect meaning. Additional entries from the 6th column are made in red ink, up to 163.
