Summary:
Official notarized copy of testimony of witnesses summoned to respond before a commission in Valencia to questions about the authenticity of the conversion by decree of Spanish Muslims to Catholicism. The commission consisted of Juan de Churruca and Andres Palacio and was authorized by Don Alonso Manrique, archbishop of Seville. The commission from the archbishop with small seal under paper (f. 3r); the list of questions for the witnesses, signed Joannes Garcia Settius (f. 4r); and a statement titled "El poder del ordinario," notarized by Bartholomeo Martinez (f. 5r-5v), precede the depositions.
