Summary:
C. Hermann Berendt's compilation of vocabularies in the Xinca language. He compares equivalents for approximately 90 words collected from the southern Guatemalan communities of Sinacantan, Yupiltepeque (probably today's San Luis Jilotepeque), and Jalapa by Juan Gavarrette Escobar and Sebastian Valdez in 1868. The words are grouped by subject and conclude with numerals.

Layout: Each opening written in four columns of up to 19 lines, with Spanish and the Xinca of Sinacantan on the left and the Xinca of Yupiltepeque and Jalapa on the facing page on the right.
Script: Written in the hand of C. Hermann Berendt.
