A 755-ton Indiaman which made six trips between England and India. After the second trip, in 1789-1790, it was purchased by Robert Wigram, owner and builder of many Blackwall frigates.

Layout: After seven blank leaves, the first three pages are written freehand. The remaining pages are divided into upper and lower halves with a complex ruling in ink of six columns of various widths, each of 12 lines, in each half. Some additional rulings in pencil.
Script: Written in a cursive script.
Decoration: Pencil sketch of "Island Ice" with the notation "Lat. 41.7 Long. 19.46" at back of book after regular log pages.
Binding: Contemporary parchment.
Origin: Written on board the General Goddard during a trip from England to Calcutta and Madras in 1789-1790.
