Summary:
Psalter, with musical notation for two measures of intonation for most psalms, in a hand different from that of the text. Section of hymns, without music. Full musical notation for Subvenite Sancti Dei, responsory for the burial service, and Chorus angelorum (f. 226-229); last section comprised of proper texts from the temporal and sanctoral cycles.

Foliation: Parchment, ii (modern paper) + 399 + ii (modern paper); [1-399]; modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto. Folio or section of folios missing between f. 229 and f. 230.
Layout: Written in 20 lines long lines, in one hand, rubricated throughout. Some music and annotations in a second, nearly contemporary hand.
Script: Written in Gothic book script by Katherina Mast, Cistercian sister with associations to the Cistercian abbeys of Valliers and Hertogendal and Valduc (Peter Kidd; f. 229v). Musical notation at the bottoms of a number of leaves in a second hand.
Decoration: Rubricated, with initials and capitals in red and blue throughout; 2-line, 3-line, 6-line and 7-line initials in red and blue with contrasting filigree.
Binding: Modern calf. Pages have been trimmed resulting in loss at the top of folios at the beginning, with some marginal annotations and musical notation lost throughout.
Origin: Probably written in the diocese of Liè€ge in the late 15th century (identification of scribe by Peter Kidd).
