Detailed account of the history of Naples during the Masaniello revolt. Written in the form of a day-by-day journal it also recounts the events which followed the revolt (f. 268r, parte seconda) until June 3, 1655.

Script: Written in a cursive script by one hand, possibly that of Giovanni Tomaso Di Fiore.
Binding: Modern boards.
Origin: Written in Naples, from 1648 (f. i recto) to 1655 (f. 311r).

This codex is related to four other manuscripts (UPenn Ms. Codex 402, 403, 404, 405) on the subject of the Masaniello revolt all purchased in 1962. See also Ms. Codex 339 and a manuscript purchased by Henry C. Lea in 1890, Ms. Codex 607, with a title nearly identical to this one, a similar introduction and conclusion, but significant differences in the middle of the text.
