Copies of material related to Giulio Sacchetti's diplomatic trip to Spain, on behalf of Pope Urban VIII, to persuade Philip IV of Spain to reach an agreement with Louis XIII of France about the passage of Valtellina in the Lombard region, which the French invaded in 1624.

Script: Written in a cursive script by a single hand.
Binding: Contemporary vellum. Oxidation of ink has resulted in some loss of text (f. 1) and general discoloration and brittle paper throughout. Evidence of worm damage near binding.
Origin: Written in Italy after 1626 (latest date in manuscript, f. 206r).
