The title page has the date notation "1647 e 1648," possibly in a different hand; but it is unclear what these dates indicate: when the events described in the text took place, when the original French text was written, when the Italian translation was made, or when this manuscript was written.
Foliation: Paper, 260; [ii], 1-257, [i]; contemporary foliation in ink, upper right recto.
Script: Written in what appears to be in a single cursive hand. Occasional marginalia also appear to be in the same hand.
Binding: Contemporary calf with gilded design on spine. Cover worn at edges and spine. Oxidation of ink, very bad on some folios.
Origin: Written in Italy after 1647.
