Register containing copies of diplomatic letters written by Guido Bentivogli, papal nuncio in Flanders, between 1609 and 1615. The letters in the collection are grouped into sections by topic. Each group of letters has a heading that begins with either "Registro ..." or "Lettere ..."

1. f.1r-90r: Registro di lettere scritte da Monsig[no]r Guido Bentivogli sopra la fuga di Francia del Prencipe di Condé, sino alla morte del Rè Enrico IV.
2. f.95r-112r: Registro di lettere che contengono l'elettione d'un Rè de Romani; sopra l'elettione dell'Imp[erato]re, sopra del Convento de Prencipi Austriaci; e sopra le turbulente in Germani per la gente ammutinata . Scritte da Monsig[no]r Guido Bentivogli, Nuntio in Fiandra [1609-1611].
3. f.113r-140v: Lettere scritte in materia dell'elettione d'un nuovo Imp[erato]re (1612).
4. f.141r-159v: Lettere sopra le cose di Alemagna dell'Anno MDCXIII ( -MDCXIV).
5. f.160r-165v: Lettere scritte in materia del Convento de i Prencipi Austriaci in Praga [1609-1610].
6. f.166r-183r: Letter scritte sopra le cose di Germania, et in particolare sopra i motivi, e pericoli, che si posson [sic] temere dalla soldatesca di Possa ammutinata [1611].
7. f.193r-306v: Registro di varie lettere scritte da Monsig[no]r Guido Bentivogli à diversi Ministri à Roma sopra varie materie spettanti la sua Nuntiatura di Fiandra [1608-1615].

Title from spine.
Foliation: Paper, 316; [ii], 1-306, [307-312]; modern foliation in pencil, upper right or upper center recto of certain folios. First unnumbered folio was originally front pastedown, now completely detached from inside upper cover.
Script: Written in a cursive script by what appears to be a single hand, with marginal notes in the same hand.
Binding: Contemporary vellum. Cover completely detached from book block at upper hinge and spine. Vellum peeling away from cover board inside upper cover. Front pastedown completely detached, back pastedown partially detached. A few stains. Some slight oxidation of ink.
Origin: Probably written in Rome, ca. 1625 (Zacour-Hirsch).
