Collection of satirical verses, many of which are addressed to contemporary figures. Includes: "Decimas contra Villamediana" (f. 21v-22v), and Villamediana's "Respuesta" (f. 22v-23v); several poems on King Philip III and King Philip IV; "Dialogo entre dos pastores Rivato Y Pasqual" (f. 138r-142r); "Sermon en titulos" and "Comedias" (f. 164r-203r). Text ends on f. 203r.

Binding: Contemporary calf with marbled endpapers. Cover boards slightly warped. Upper hinge wearing.
Origin: Written in Spain circa 1700 (Zacour-Hirsch).
Penn Provenance:
Former owners include: Valentin de Carderera (inscription, verso of front endleaf); D. del Monte, 1849 (same inscription); R.M. Baralt (same inscription); Hugo Albert Rennert (bookplate, inside upper cover). [Zacour-Hirsch gives the first traceable owner as "Valentin de Carder [sic] D. de Monte," as if that were one person; the way in which the inscription is written suggests rather that they are two different people.] Recto of back endleaf has the inscription "No. 1028" with no indication of the library or collection to which this number pertains.
