Collation: Parchment and paper, 26; [iii], 1¹⁰, 2⁸, 3⁶(-2), [iii]; i (11th- or 12th-century parchment) + ii (contemporary paper) + 23 + ii (contemporary paper) + i (11th- or 12th-century parchment); 1-18, 20-23; contemporary foliation in red ink, upper right recto; modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto. Layout: Written in 26 long lines; ruled in ink.
Script: Written in a semi-humanistic script, with comments in several different hands; pastedowns written in transitional script (or protogothic script).
Decoration: 6-line initial in purple, green, pink, and blue (f. 1r); coat of arms in green, blue, pink, purple and white (f. 1r); extensive use of red for headings, initials, capitals, and paragraph marks.
Binding: 15th-century Italian wooden boards, with two leather straps connecting front to back, one detached. Pastedowns have been loosened (they were from the 11th/12th-century breviary fragment used to wrap the text block). The text block is completely detached from this cover.
