Summary:
Contains statutes of Bosco Marengo (f. 1-88). Preceding the statutes there is an index, with folio numbers for cross reference (f. [i]-[viii]).
Notes:
Ms. codex.
Title from recto of front flyleaf.
Collation: I⁴, II-VIII⁵, IX-X⁴, XI¹. There is also one front and one back flyleaf, both paper. Link to collation model at end of record.
Foliation: Parchment, i (paper) + 96 + i (paper); [viii], 1-88. There are three sets of folio numbers, all of which begin on the ninth leaf (which is numbered f. 1) and which are all written in the upper right corner of each recto: 1.) contemporary roman numerals; 2.) slightly later arabic numerals; 3.) modern pencil arabic numerals, f. 78-end, correcting errors in the first two foliation systems. In the first two foliation systems there are two folios numbered 77, and the numbering in these two systems is incorrect from that point on.
Layout: Written in 34 long lines; ruled in ink.
Script: Italian notarial bookhand plus a number of later additions in 17th- and 18th-century hands.
Decoration: Red initials throughout.
Binding: Scored calf over cardboard, possibly Italian of the 18th century.
Origin: Written in Italy, ca. 1493 (f. 85r). Folios 87v-end contain 17th-century and 18th-century additions.
Covers and endpapers show a great deal of worm damage. Cover boards warped. Edges of the first and last few folios split and cracked. Folio [i] missing a large section, with some loss of text.

Owned by Conte Pietro Civaleri (inside front cover: "P. Civalerius emit die x Aprilis 1843"). Also has stamp of Walter Ashburner, Firenze (f. [viii]v and f. 88v).
