Overview and metadata sections

Born in Sheffield, England, 21 November 1900, to Louisa May Yule and William Robert Yule.

This volume contains the horoscope created by an unnamed astrologer for the life of Louisa May Johnston Yule. This horoscope, written in English, utilizes the traditional Hindu system of astrology known as Jyotisha or Vedic astrology. The prophecy for Yule's life is divided into the nine planets with detailed explanations in relation to astrological occurrences and signs. There are eleven colored hand-painted diagrams illustrating Yule's stages of life from her birth through to her death. There are three detailed charts in red and black ink. Each leaf in the volume is written on the recto with a double-line, red ink border. The diagrams are followed by explanations providing predictions of Yule's health, longevity, marriage, prosperity, and friendship. The reading of Yule's life also notes auspicious days to help guide life decisions. The last three leaves provide summaries of Yule's physical appearance and personality characteristics with a summary of her life. One leaf laid in the volume is brief undated letter from Mary E. Reiss(?) to Mr. Blandford.

Stamped bookplate "Arya Jyotish-Samiti, Calcutta" is pasted on the first and last end paper.

Sold by Pablo Butcher (Oxford, England), 2010.
