The recipes provide remedies and treatments for arthritis, bladder ailments, colic, dysentery, eye ailments, fevers, gonorrhea, heart ailments, inflammation, scurvy, stomach ailments, and worms. In addition to the recipes are descriptive treatment techniques and instructions. Some recipes have notes updating formulas and treatments. At the beginning and end of the volume are a few quotations and maxims. There are four leaves of recipes laid in the volume one bearing the date 1761 under a notation. A portion of the volume is blank.
