Overview and metadata sections

Judge Robert E. Ginsberg received his B.A. from Brown University, his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, and his L.L.M. from Harvard Law School. In 2002, he retired after many years as a bankruptcy judge in the Northern District of Illinois. Judge Ginsberg was a member of the Board of the Federal Judicial Center from 1987 to 1991, and Chair of the Center's Bankruptcy Education Committee from 1989 to 1992. He was appointed to the National Bankruptcy Review Commission in 1995 by Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Prior to joining the bench, Judge Ginsberg served on the faculty of DePaul University College of Law and as counsel for Scariano, Kula, and Ellch. Judge Ginsberg is co-author of Ginsberg & Martin on Bankruptcy (Aspen Law & Business, 2000) with the Hon. Robert D. Martin.

The collection is comprised of six series, arranged alphabetically as follows: Acts; Court Rulings; Memorandums; Notes; Panels; Speeches. The bulk of the material is within the Memorandum series. Memorandums discussed topics such as agenda revisions, meetings, amendments, and other similarly related material.
