The PKQ Willoughby Endowed Fund for Chinese Studies was established in 2011 by Candice Wang Willoughby (Class of 1997) and her husband Robert Willoughby in honor of their three daughters. The fund supports the Libraries' acquisition of materials for Chinese Studies.

Candice and Robert have both spent their careers in the financial services industry. Candice is Head of Client Strategy at Brookfield Asset Management where she oversees Marketing and Investor Relations for Brookfield Hedge Solutions, a multi-manager hedge fund platform in New York. Robert is a Senior Advisor to the Health Care Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse, also in New York.

Candice graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997, where she majored in International Relations and minored in Chinese Studies. She and Robert are avid supporters of the University and of the Penn Libraries. Candice joined the Penn Libraries Board of Overseers in 2017 after serving as as an inaugural member of the Orrery Society Regional Advisory Council of New York, and she is active with the Trustees' Council of Penn Women. She has also served on the Penn Fund Executive Board and on her Class Gift Committee as Gift Chairperson. Robert received his B.A. from Bucknell University and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.

The Willoughbys live in New York City with their three children, Penny, Kirby, and Quinn.
